A Fire Started…

Since the CTMI Youth Convention, it has been wonderful to see so many of the young people persevering in their walk with the Lord, and continuing with their zeal to preach the Gospel. Each Saturday we meet together to study the word, to pray, and to go out onto the streets as co-workers with the Lord to save souls. Children, parents, older folks, anyone who is interested and concerned about reaching out to those who don’t know Christ is welcome! Whether it is sharing the Gospel in a new area, praying for the sick to be healed, or visiting new believers each time, we have been so blessed.

Jonathan H. on the message ‘The Joy of the Lord’

This morning’s message has really encouraged me to seek the Lord more, because I realised that the joy of the Lord is something that will also come through trials and tests I will go through. It is not something I can just expect to fall from heaven, but it is something that the Lord is going to bring to my life as I go through those tests and the trials that He wants me to go through. Clearly, this will enable me to be real before the Lord, and will bring me to a closer relationship with Him. Thank you CTMI!

Sharna W. on the message ‘The Joy of the Lord’

I heard the message this morning from CTMI and was so encouraged and clearly understand now that joy is not an emotional feeling, but it is something that the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts. It is not based on our different situations and circumstances. What encouraged me most was to hear that even when we are going through difficult times, or facing trials in our lives, we can still find the joy of the Lord. When we reach out and ask the Lord to put His joy in our hearts, He will give it to us. Often when I go through difficult situations it’s easy for these things to crush me down and discourage me, but today the Lord has enlightened me to see that the joy that He will put in my heart will lift me up and will be my strength through times of hardship.

Youth Convention 2011

In December, CTMI held a youth camp with a difference… No sitting on chairs and listening to preaching! We, the youth, had the opportunity to go into the towns and villages of Mauritius to preach the gospel ourselves! It was a wonderful time where many had the privilege and joy, some for the first time, of leading someone to Jesus and praying for them to be set free of their sins.

The Great Commission

He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”  Mark 16:15-16

Noma M. on the message ‘The Joy of the Lord’

What Brother Miki (CTMI) shared this morning was very encouraging. I understood that if we have taken hold of the will of the Lord in our hearts, we are able to rejoice in whatever situations we go through. There may be things we don’t expect, or things that are difficult to go through, but then we realise that these things are in His will for us and are for the kingdom of God. Then, we can experience a wonderful joy, a true joy, that comes from faith deep within our hearts in knowing that we are accomplishing His will, and that His plan will prevail.

Derek C. on the message ‘The Joy of the Lord’

From what we’ve heard in this message, I think that many pastors will see the need to bring the people back to the true gospel, to remind them of what God wants to do in the hearts of the people, and the joy that accompanies this work. We see that it is when God is working in the hearts of the people, that the joy of the Lord is manifest. If we can bring the true message of a joy to serve our Lord Jesus, an eternal joy, a joy that is from the Lord, a joy that is real; and not a joy that is passing and comes from the world, then we will see people’s hearts and lives being built in the Lord. I bless the Lord for CTMI’s ministry.
